When the unimaginable day came, we were blessed to find Dr. Faith Albright. She came out, on short notice, amidst the covid-19 quarantine, to help us say goodbye to our best friend in the most caring, safe, and comfortable way possible. The saddest day of my life was also one of the most special. Thank you.

We cannot recommend Faith highly enough. We are so grateful for her flexibility and kindness, as well as all the rescue work she does. She made such a huge difference a for us. Other people make you schedule in a very dehumanizing way that feels cruel and unkind to the animal. Her willingness to come out and support our family and our beloved baby on his timeline (on Christmas Eve during COVID no less), and the ease and grace with which she did so, are so unusual in the Bay Area. She enabled us to give him a great last day, and to feel as confident as possible in our decision. She added zero stress and instead made a hard time much easier. This makes her a very special person.
We had a horrible experience at VCA Bay Area Veterinary Specialists in San Leandro with the death of our last dog and to this day we agonize and second guess whether or how we could have made it different. We know so many people traumatized by the death of their pets. This time, thanks to Faith, we were able to plan, give our beloved pup time to nap in the sun, keep him comfortable in familiar surroundings and be with him in a way that worked for our family with our varying disabilities and need for strict Covid protocols. Not only was it as positive an experience as such a terrible event can be, but it's wonderful to have the opportunity to support her rescue work.

One of our cats was dying during the first two months of the COVID-19 pandemic, and I was not only grieving but also tremendously worried about how I could have him euthanized when the time came without either breaking the quarantine protocols in our apartment (husband & I are both in high-risk groups) or dropping our poor cat off at the vet's to be euthanized alone. The latter possibility in particular seemed pretty unbearable to me, so I was both relieved and grateful when Dr. Albright and her assistant arranged to come to us.
Prior to the housecall, Dr. Albright was willing to talk to me at length about the specifics of the euthanasia meds and the particular usage protocols. When they arrived for the housecall, they were both consummate professionals. The procedure took place just outside our apartment door as I held our sweet, funny old-man cat in my lap; we all wore masks. Both Dr. Albright and her assistant were sympathetic and compassionate in ways that made a heart-breaking experience feel a little less wrenching. And our old kitty passed away peacefully.
I can't ever thank them enough for that.
